Sometimes you have so much to do you get into an overtime situation …

… but unfortunately when you’re retired, I’m not sure who I can expect to pay me overtime!

Last week was a realllllly busy one for me, so I didn’t read other’s blogs or write posts.  Once again, I am given renewed appreciation for those of you who work and/or have children still at home who still find time to blog.  Good for all of you!

I won’t bore you with the details of my week but it included; going to spend a day with my sister Martha who lives several hours away because it was her birthday; both nail and hair appointments which generally don’t fall in the same week; putting together two “hospital survival kits” for friends who are having knee surgery soon; book club Wednesday night; and the beginning of our golf league on Thursday, for which I needed to make some new forms.  Added to that, I was helping my SIL with her garage sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so I had to get things together to sell and take them over there on Wednesday.

See what I mean?  For a retiree, last week came uncomfortably close to keeping me as busy as a full-time job did!

So, the bad news is I was out of touch with you, my blogging friends for a week, but the good news is that I got some pictures I look forward to sharing with you and if I think real hard, I bet I can come up with at least one good story about the people who strolled through the garage sale!

Just to impress on you how busy I was last week, I didn’t have time for even one afternoon nap.  Now THAT’S busy!

Stay tuned.

You were missed! I’m glad to know your absence wasn’t due to illness or misfortune. Looking forward to the garage sale stories.

Linda — I LOVE being missed! 🙂 I’ll try to come up with some garage sale stories in the next day or two.

I was actually going to call your DD tomorrow if you didn’t post to make sure all was ok.

I understand busy.. and how it keeps you from blogging/catching up. I think I’m going to designate summer as my busy time. 😉

Looking forward to your photos and to hearing about the garage sale.

Amy — That is so sweet! Thank you for being so caring. 🙂

Hilary — It’s all relative for me. I know that my “busy” week would have been a piece of cake for many people, but I’m just not used to nearly that much activity all crammed into seven days any more! And I even forgot to mention that a friend was also here from Texas that week. I couldn’t even work in a lunch with her — she just came over one evening!

btw, I hope your busy summer won’t stop you from blogging — now THAT would be a calamity. And I sincerely mean that. You are a blessing to so many of us. 🙂

blogging is always last on the list, as it should be! Glad to see your priorities are straight and that you are doing well! HOPEFULLY, you find that afternoon nap this week and maybe you could find one for me too!! The busy is crazy fun, isn’t it (sorta)?

Chrissy — More “fun” at your age than at mine! 🙂
