Small conversation, large result!

She said:  “Our friend Marv offered me produce from his garden — tomatoes, peppers and zucchini.  I didn’t really want any zucchini, but was really glad to get the tomatoes and peppers.”

I said:  “That’s great, but I wish you’d taken the zucchini too, because then you could have given it to me.  I have a great chocolate zucchini bread recipe.”

She said:  “I did.  Come to my house!”

I put the banana in the picture to show you how huge the seven zucchini are that she gave me!

Be careful what you wish for.

I know you won’t be surprised when I tell you I’ll be posting about my favorite chocolate zucchini bread later in the week.

Happy Monday!

WOW! Those are huge zucchini! I take it you will have some happy friends sharing your chocolate zucchini bread? Looks like that will make enough to feed an army!

can’t wait! Zucchini from the home grown gardens always amaze me with their size!!

  3. Sandra says:

Alllllot more zucchini than I had bargained for, Beth! But I have had really good luck freezing this bread, so I’ll make as many loaves as possible and then freeze some of them. But I have book club here in a few weeks, so I already know one item that will be on the menu! 🙂

Chrissy — This time of year there are certainly lots of people giving zucchini away, so it must be easy to raise. But since I don’t (nor have I ever tried to) raise it, I’m always delighted when someone gives me some. (Just not normally quite this much!) 🙂

  4. Yummy !!! Healthy too, right? I will be looking for that chocolate zucchini bread recipe!

  5. Sandra says:

V — Yeah, right, healthy. 🙂 I’ll let you be the judge of that after I give you the recipe! 🙂
