I’m “oot and aboot” but I’ll return soon!

That title is a nod to my Canadian friends.  I really enjoyed the Canadians I dealt with in business, as I now enjoy my Canadian blogging friends.  From my years of dealing with salesmen in Canada on the phone, my experience was that they were usually very gentlemanly and had a dry wit.  I especially enjoyed the unique little ways  they expressed themselves… “I’m going to be oot and aboot for a while.” being one of my favorites.

Anyway,  there really was another purpose for this post…I’m going to be “oot and aboot” for a while.  We have a funeral to attend in North Carolina and since I don’t have a laptop, I’m unable to post while away.

So, I wish you each a happy, spring-like rest of the week, and I’ll be back to posting on Sunday or Monday at the latest.

btw, if you need a blog-reading “fix” while I’m gone, I suggest you go to my Canadian friend, Hillary’s blog, The Smitten Image.  I can recommend her without even looking to see what her most recent post is, because whatever it is, it is great.  She is a wonderful wordsmith as well as photographer…so her blog maintains a high level of content that most of us can only aspire to.

Be safe until we meet again, friends.

    Hi Sandy
I picked up your paper for you tonight and also noticed the drycleaners had arrived, so I just took everything to our house. Have a safe trip.

  2. Hilary says:

I’m sorry for the circumstances of your travels and hope that hurting heart heal soon.

Aren’t you just so sweet! Thank you so much for this very flattering nod. You’re so kind, eh?

  3. Suldog says:

Hope your trip is as pleasant as something of that nature can be. Looking forward to your return.

    And Hilary is aces!

I’m sorry you had to leave for such a bummer of a reason. Travel safely, an we’ll read you soon!

Thank you so much, Belinda. You and Mike are such good neighbors. We had totally forgotten about the dry cleaning and, of course, we’ve learned that ANY request to stop the paper is “iffy” and a last minute one has practically zero chance of being honored. You’re the best. 🙂

Hilary — You certainly don’t need me to direct people to read your posts, but I meant what I said — I absolutely know that you will post regularly and that
each one of those posts will be a worthwhile read! As far as I’m concerned you are the “gold standard” of blogging. Eh? to you too my Canadian friend. 🙂

Suldog — I’m so glad I’ve found you through our mutual friend, Hilary. Another reason to like her — I always enjoy your posts too! 🙂

Beth — Thank you. We had a safe trip, but a fattening one! I’ll probably post about that later. 🙂
