The Four Seasons . . . Southern Style

When I was talking to one of my adult nieces in Atlanta about my  love of all the changing seasons, she laughingly told me what the southern version is of the four seasons:

Almost Summer … Summer … Still Summer  Christmas!

There is much to enjoy about their “seasons”, but I think, at least for now, I will continue to enjoy the traditional four seasons we experience in Indiana.

Thanks for always being able to make me laugh, Teresa!

Very cute.. I think I’ll keep ours too. 🙂

  2. Vicki says:

I concur with your niece! Bah winter! After Christmas it is all downhill til May!

  3. Chrissy Witt says:

Cute! I usually like ours, but I honestly think we only saw three seasons this year. I think we skipped summer. I am enjoying our fall though!!

  4. Sandra says:

    Hilary — I thought so too. 🙂

Vicki — I’m sure that’s exactly what Teresa would say! 🙂

Chrissy — You’re right. Not much summer this year. But, I have to say, a cool summer doesn’t make me too mad. Yes, this is a BEAUTIFUL Fall. 🙂

As I age (arghh!), I find that I like the “extremes” less and less. I have a harder time tolerating the hot summers and the cold winters. Give me spring and fall! C

  6. Sandra says:

C — I have to say that my love of the extremes improved AFTER I retired and didn’t HAVE to go out in the weather if I really didn’t want to. 🙂
