What did you say?

As he passed her in the kitchen on the way to the garage he said, “I’m going to move the car out of the garage so that I can clean it.”

A little while later when she walked out into the garage, he said, “Well, what do you think?”

As they stood in the obviously not-clean garage, she said, “I thought you said you were going to clean in here?”

He took a minute to absorb what she had said, then just smiled and pointed to the driveway … where the car was now nice and shiney clean.

Thank you, Linda for all the interesting moments you have shared with me over the years that I’m sure you never suspected would end up being fodder for my blog!

I think we all relate to that type of misunderstanding!

Beth — It really is amazing, isn’t it, how you can say something that, to you, seems perfectly clear, and then it is totally misunderstood by someone else.

Linda — And, believe me, I appreciate it! 🙂

Funny, funny! I love words and the twists they can bring!

It’s the misunderstood exchange that happens all the time but somehow when it’s on your blog, it’s priceless. Thanks for this smile. 🙂

C — I love word twists too and I LOVE your blog (Stickhorse Cowgirls for anyone interested) After WW yesterday, when me and my friends were eating lunch, I told them about how I was going to make your oreo dessert a WW dessert by lightening up all the ingredients, and they just rolled their eyes! It looks wonderful!

    Hilary — Thank you, friend.
