Q-Tip Quip

“Mr. Consumer” (Hubby): “Hey, instead of just putting a few Q-tips in the jar at a time like you usually do, why don’t you start stuffing in as many as you possibly can so that it takes a crowbar to get them out?  Oh, wait a minute, you already thought of that!”

The “Stocking Clerk” (me!): “Thank you, sir, for your comments regarding our new overstocking policy.  We always appreciate your input.  By the way, have you thought about leaving a tip?”

Sheeesh.  All I did was use up the “last few” in the Q-tip box so that I could throw it away.  So, sue me!

Humor makes life so much easier and more fun!

May your Sunday be blessed with shared humor.

Wow, this is something The Engineer would say! I love it! And your comeback was perfect.

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday! I’m home with a couple of kids with colds, so I did some baking this morning. Wish you could join us for a pastry!

  2. Sandra says:

Oh, Beth — It would be great to be able to sit down for a pastry and a cup of coffee with you!

I’m sorry your babies are sick. Harder than when you’re sick yourself, isn’t it.

I’m glad to hear you an the Engineer could have had this conversation. Not everyone “gets” our humor. But, we do laugh alot ourselves! 🙂

  3. Barb says:

I distinctly remember being taught in ‘Stocking Clerk School’ that we were to fill the container to full capacity! (:])!!!
You are SO right about humor making life so much easier and more fun! Sometimes Dunk and I have a ‘do you remember when we…..’ and end up laughing so hard we can’t talk! It has made the 44 1/2 years much more pleasant!
P.S. Prayers and humor will get you through life.

  4. Sandra says:

Hi, Barb — I think I remember you and me taking that “stocking clerk” class together!

Glad you got a laugh out of this. 🙂

  5. Hilary says:

You are so delightfully restrained. That sort of input would have earned my consumer the knowledge of a new place for said Q-tip. 😉

  6. Sandra says:

Hilary — I read your cute comment to Hubby and he laughed, but a little nervously. He doesn’t want me getting any ideas! 🙂
