I had heard it said in other words in the church I grew up in, but when I joined the Lutheran church when Hubby and I married, a part of the service that especially spoke to me was when we confessed, “I am a poor miserable sinner, saved by grace alone.”
Today is the celebration of the grace that saves me. Christ won that grace for me when He died on the cross, sinless Himself, but suffering in my place for my sins, and then rose from the dead and waits to greet me in Heaven.
He is Risen. Hallelujah!
Well said, Sandy. Wishing you a blessed Easter, in spite of your nasty case of shingles.
