Be a “Weaver”

I recently read the following quote in Guidepost, a little Christian magazine that I have received all of my married life.  For many years the subscription was a gift from my mother.  After she was gone, my daughter continued the gift.

“Weave your beliefs into the very fabric of your day.  When you do, God will honor your good works, and your good works will honor God.”

~ A. R. Bernard, minister, from his book  Happiness Is … Simple Steps to a Life of Joy

This is so true. Loveley quote. Enjoy your Sunday!

  3. Sandra says:

HPKT — Your welcome, Barb. It’s certainly a worthwhile cause. Good luck!

    Amy — Thank you.

  4. Beth says:

One of my favorite magazines. I have a dream to be published in it…. Guess I should actually write and submit something if that’s ever going to happen!

  5. Danielle says:

Now this is very true. I once read a book called a “Weekend by the sea”,a true story.
It’s about a lady who is unhappy with her life, so she decides to rent out a house by the beach for the weekend. As it happens she meets an old lady, (Erik Eriksons wife), who teaches her to weave and tells her that life is very much one big weave, sometimes rough on the outside and sometimes smooth sailing.
The older woman becomes the younger womans mentor and she ended up spending 12 months in that rented house.
It’s a beatiful true story….thanks for the memory xoxoxo

Beth — I’ve always had the same dream. We should both apply to their writer’s workshop! That would be fun to get to go together!

Danielle — I think I’ve heard of that story. Very true and well told. I’m glad I brought it to your mind. xoxo

  7. Beth says:

I’ve been thinking about the writer’s workshop! It’s only every other year–any idea when the next one is? We could be roomies! 🙂

  8. Sandra says:

Beth — The workshop used to be in October. We ought to check that out (maybe on-line?). Think of all the posts we could come up with, after spending several days together, and with a bunch of other people who love to write too! 🙂

  9. Beth says:

I looked for it online but didn’t see anything on the website, so it may be awhile before they’re doing it again. BUT–it’s very, very easy to submit a story, so I think I’ll try to do that before long.

  10. Sandra says:

I’ll work toward that too, Beth. If we submit something maybe they’ll automatically send us info on the workshop!
