A Manly Sign of Spring

Hubby told me this morning that he can tell Spring is coming.

I asked, how so?

He said it’s because the hair on his wrists is worn off from the cuffs of the sleeves of the sweatshirts he wears most days in the Winter.

Alert the Farmer’s Almanac.  We have another sign of seasonal change they may want to document!

(It’s snowing and we’re expecting an accumulation of 1-3 inches today.  So apparently Hubby doesn’t mean Spring is coming s.o.o.n!)

I’ll bet he’s more reliable than the groundhog. 😉

  2. Gattina says:

For me he can loose all his hairs if it helps that spring comes earlier, lol ! I am so fat up of winter !

  3. I live on a tropical island and it has been very hot the last two weeks. I wish for snow. 🙂

  4. Sandra says:

Hilary — Good point. Probably at least AS reliable! 🙂

Gattina — I’m ready for spring too! Let’s both hope he’s right! 🙂

eastcoastlife — Hmmm. I’m sorry, but I live in Indiana, where we have a long winter — it’s very hard to feel sorry for you! 🙂

  5. chrissy says:

I love it! I sure hope he’s right!

  6. Sandra says:

    Chrissy — Me too!

  7. Well, that’s very good news! I’ll go get the hammock and sprinkler set up 🙂

    Ha ha ha!!

This could be your million dollar idea, you know. A new type of hair removal.

“Ladies, just take this little bit of super-special fabric and rub it on that unwanted hair for three to four months, and your skin will be smooth and hair-free!”

  9. liz says:

Wellies have the same effect on my husband’s legs!

It is much milder here than of late: maybe your husband means that spring is coming to Wales?!

  10. Sandra says:

HPKT — Love your positive attitude. Be sure to post pictures! 🙂

Beth — Wonderful idea! You know, we retirees are always open to a quick (at this age we stress “quick”) money-making schemes. I’m on my way to the “laBORAtory” right now (that would be Hubby’s closet — I’ll need to make all his sweatshirts “short-sleeved” to get my materials)to work out the details. 🙂

Ah, Liz — There’s the catch I hadn’t thought of — he didn’t specify WHERE spring was coming! 🙂
