He Cares About Our Details!

I took some pictures of a peacock at the zoo a couple months ago.  I was hoping the peacock would fan his tail, but he never did.  So, I just about deleted this picture of him walking away from me.  But, when I cropped it, the detail in that tail just grabbed me.  How beautiful and intricate!

The beautiful detail in a peacock’s feathers reminds me of how much God cares about each of our “details.”

In these turbulent times, may the beauty in the world that God created encourage you and  lift your spirits.

As a friend of mine likes to say, “God is so creative.” Beautiful picture; good observation about God’s being in the details.

  2. Hilary says:

    Lovely photo and sentiment.

  3. Sandra says:

I like that, “God is so creative” Linda. You’ll probably hear me say that now, like I made it up! 🙂

    Hilary — Thank you.

Words of wisdom, and what a beautiful way to remember them. I’ll try to think of the peacock’s tail when I’m worried about things this week, like wondering if I’ll have childcare for a conference I want to attend…. God is in charge of the details.

Wow, I would have never seen that beauty and detail, if you would not have shared! Thanks for not deleting!!

  6. Sandra says:

Beth — I’m glad these words connected with you. Good luck with the child care this week. If we lived close, I’d definitely volunteer!

Chrissy — Thanks for enjoying it with me!

  7. Beth says:

    How sweet, Sandra, thanks!

Our biggest childcare difficulties are when we have a church event…because most of our sitters are going to the event with us!

  8. ….and how much we miss if we only glance at the surface of others…

  9. SBW says:

Wow, that is a fantastic photo.

Yes, God does indeed care about the details. It’s a form of worship, I think, to notice them ourselves.

  10. Sandra says:

SBW — I did a post one time on “His eye is on the sparrow” because I do need to be reminded regularly that He cares about every detail. (I love to hear Della Reese sing “His Eye Is On The Sparrow.”)

Imagine, if He put such beautiful detail into this world that is “temporary,” what the eternal world, Heaven, must look like! Wow!

I wonder if there will be cameras in Heaven? If there are, won’t we have a ball taking pictures THERE? I love that idea.
