A Missed Opportunity and Surprising Blooms!

I just realized I didn’t tell you about my jury duty experience.

There was none.

I called the phone number after 5 pm on the day before I was supposed to report, as instructed.  The message said, “For jurors who were supposed to report on Thursday, all trials have been canceled for that day.  Your commitment to jury duty is complete.  Although, you may be re-called sometime in the next six months.”

Rats.  I was kind of looking forward to seeing what that was like.  But, they did “throw me a bone” — I might get called again in the next six months.  Or maybe they just say that to let you down easy — so that you’re not too disappointed.

I think to cheer me up because of my missed opportunity, my Christmas cactus has six (6) that’s SIX blooms!  I have no idea why.  But when I pointed out this little miracle to Hubby he said, “Hey, let me see your thumb.”  When I held up my thumb, he said “Not as black as I thought!”

That’s how he won my heart — charming words.

    Love it….a true romantic…

And 6 blooms?….my cactus has only ever had one at at time….

Never mind the black finger, I’m beating on it being pretty green lol….

I hope you’re right, Danielle — about the green thumb. My mother was a wonderful gardener, and I would love to be. So, I’m going to try my hand at gardening this summer. We’ll see. 🙂

Sorry you didn’t get picked this time.
Wow, 6 blooms, how awesome! Enjoy your gardening!

  4. Hope for the coroner’s inquest next time you get called. Very intense, but interesting and you serve one full day and then you are exempt for 2 years!

A romantic schemer to be sure!
